Wiise launches NDIS solution to streamline claims & compliance
Cloud ERP provider Wiise has introduced Wiise for NDIS, which it says is the first enterprise resource planning solution in Australia with a direct connection to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The integration allows NDIS providers to manage claims, billing, and compliance requirements directly through the Wiise platform.
Compliance demands
The NDIS budget is projected to hit AUD $63.9 billion by 2028-29. As expenditure grows, regulatory oversight has also increased. Providers face intricate requirements tied to funding models, with payment mechanisms varying for plan-managed, self-managed, and agency-managed participants. Navigating disparate billing, reconciliation and compliance processes presents ongoing administrative and financial challenges.
Wiise for NDIS includes direct submission of claims to the National Disability Insurance Agency, automated invoice processing, split invoicing across funding sources, enterprise-grade audit trails and real-time billing validation against the NDIA product catalogue.
Sector adoption
Forty-five NDIS providers have adopted Wiise so far, according to the company, as the sector moves to replace legacy and custom-built systems that often cannot address the financial complexity of NDIS operations. The new platform is positioned to provide end-to-end traceability and support audit requirements.
"We invested over 12 months and more than a million dollars to develop this NDIA integration on top of our Australian ERP platform. This was shaped by feedback from our existing NDIS customers. The scheme's funding structure is inherently complex, and generic accounting systems simply don't cope. Providers are forced into manual workarounds that slow cash flow, increase compliance risk, and create operational inefficiencies. Wiise eliminates these pain points by automating processes and delivering real-time, audit-ready reporting," said Charlie Wood, CEO, Wiise.
Claims processing
Among the first organisations to use Wiise for NDIS with direct integration are Outsourced Professional Solutions (OPS) and Direct Care Resources (DCR), which have begun submitting claims through the system in Queensland.
"Partnering with Wiise has transformed how we manage compliance, reduced rework in claims, and given us confidence in meeting escalating regulatory demands for our client. Wiise offers capabilities beyond typical business software, allowing our client to focus on delivering quality care whilst improving efficiency," said Adrian Tan, CEO, Outsourced Professional Solutions.
Roadmap plans
Developments for Wiise for NDIS are set to continue. The company plans to integrate participant plans from the NDIA for immediate budget visibility. It also intends to use Microsoft Copilot's automation capabilities to further streamline compliance tasks, including claim submission and budget tracking.
"Our goal is to help providers operate with confidence and adapt as technology and regulations evolve. By combining automation, transparency, and AI, we're setting a new standard for financial accountability in the NDIS sector," said Sullivan McIntyre, CPO, Wiise.
