TeamViewer & Manhattan Associates form tech alliance for global logistics
The global tech provider TeamViewer has announced an exciting new partnership with Manhattan Associates, a player in the supply chain logistics sector. This strategic alliance is designed to digitise warehouse operations globally, leveraging Manhattan's substantial industry footprint and TeamViewer's technology.
Manhattan Associates plans to amalgamate TeamViewer's cutting-edge vision-picking solution with its own flagship, cloud-based platform, the Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM). The integration will effectively furnish Manhattan Associates' users with numerous advantages when it comes to their warehouse operations. These include heightened accuracy, ease of implementation, and enhanced productivity thanks to hands-free picking facilitated by real-time visual cues and verification.
Expressing his views on the alliance, Matt Dermody, Director of Engineering at Manhattan Associates, stated, "TeamViewer is the undisputed leader for vision picking in warehouse logistics, and we share a common goal: taking logistics to the next level with modernised user experiences and smart technology. In addition to the well-known efficiency gains, the configurability and scalability of vision picking is of particular interest to us and our global enterprise customers."
Alfredo Patron, Executive Vice President of Business Development at TeamViewer, shared this sentiment. Alfredo said, "We are excited to enter a strategic partnership with Manhattan Associates, an innovation leader in the logistics sector. This collaboration represents a significant advancement in the digitalisation and optimisation of warehouse processes, as the combined tools can address important industry challenges such as skilled labour shortages, pressure on global supply chains and high customer churn rates."
Furthermore, Manhattan Associates' Enterprise Mobility sales team now has the capacity to offer TeamViewer's vision-picking solution to their existing and potential MAWM customers. This integration is set to create new opportunities for enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency in warehouses around the globe.
Vision picking- or pick-by-vision- is a concept enabling the digitisation of logistics processes using augmented reality technology. Functions such as order picking, packing and sorting, sequencing, inventory control, replenishment and put-away can now be modernised with vision picking. Warehouse operators are given visual information about orders or inventory data via wearable devices. This feature, in combination with integrated voice or scan controls, allows for a significantly more efficient hands-free operation.
The partnership between TeamViewer and Manhattan Associates marks a significant leap forward in the digital transformation of warehouse operations. By combining cutting-edge vision-picking technology with Manhattan's robust cloud-based platform, businesses can expect heightened accuracy, improved productivity, and streamlined processes. With the integration of vision picking into Manhattan Active Warehouse Management, logistics professionals worldwide are poised to tackle industry challenges with innovative solutions, ultimately driving efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction in warehouses across the globe.
Manhattan Enterprise Mobility will present a demonstration of a vision-picking-based workflow powered by TeamViewer's Frontline xPick at the upcoming Manhattan Momentum conference, which will be held May 14-17 in San Antonio, Texas.
