Snom launches white D8xx phones for Asia-Pacific markets

Tue, 28th Apr 2026 (Today)

Snom has added white versions of its D8xx desk phone range and D8C expansion module in Asia-Pacific markets, extending the latest D8xx line with alternative colour options for workplaces with specific design or hygiene requirements.

The new products are the D810W, D815WB and the D8C expansion module in white. The additions build on earlier white versions in Snom's portfolio and are aimed at organisations that want communications hardware to blend more discreetly into clinical, public-facing or design-led interiors.

The company is targeting sectors where lighter-coloured equipment is often preferred for practical and visual reasons, including hospitals, doctors' surgeries, care homes, spas, wellness facilities, educational institutions and businesses with tightly defined interior or brand standards.

The devices use antibacterial housing, a feature intended for settings where infection control and cleanliness are priorities. That makes them relevant for medical and care environments, where the appearance and surface properties of equipment can influence procurement decisions alongside price and technical specifications.

Product details

Technically, the white models match the standard versions already sold in the D8xx family. The D810W is positioned as an entry-level IP desk phone with integrated Wi-Fi, a colour display and security features including TLS and SRTP.

The D815WB sits higher in the range, with a 5-inch colour display, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a USB port and support for expansion modules. This makes it better suited to settings where staff handle heavier call volumes or need more on-screen information.

The D8C expansion module adds an extra display to compatible D8xx phones through a USB connection. It features a large, high-resolution colour screen and a simplified user interface for additional applications.

Across the range, the devices also provide HD audio. Security functions including TLS and SRTP are designed for use cases where voice traffic and account credentials need extra protection.

Design focus

The release of white variants reflects a broader purchasing trend in parts of the office and healthcare equipment market, where buyers increasingly consider how communications devices fit into a room instead of treating them purely as utility hardware. Reception areas, treatment rooms and premium customer spaces often require technology that is visible but not visually dominant.

This has created a niche for suppliers willing to offer the same hardware specifications in alternative finishes. By keeping the specification unchanged from the base models, vendors can meet those requirements without creating a separate product architecture or support burden.

For channel partners, colour variants can also broaden the sales pitch in sectors that standardise furniture, wall finishes and front-desk equipment. In these environments, procurement teams may look for consistency across devices as part of fit-out projects or refurbishment work.

Snom positioned the launch as part of a broader product strategy that links industrial design more closely to communications equipment. The additions are intended to give buyers more flexibility when matching desk phones and accessories to specific environments.

Mark Wiegleb, Vice President of Products at Snom, said: "With the new D8xx white models, we are responding to specific customer requests for devices that can seamlessly integrate into design-oriented and hygiene-sensitive environments. This way, we combine proven technology with design flexibility."

The white versions of the D810W and D815WB, along with the D8C module, are now available through specialist resellers and come with a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
