Seagate Technology has appointed a new regional vice president for Asia-Pacific sales: Robert Yang.
In his new role with the data storage company, Yang will lead the team responsible for the company's sales, marketing and technical support activities across the Asia Pacific region.
He will report to BS Teh, Seagate's senior vice president of global sales.

Yang started his career with Seagate back in 1997, and over an eight-year tenure rose to the position of senior director and general manager for Asia Pacific channel sales and marketing.
Yang and his team built up a robust channel network across the region to bring Seagate's products and services to customers in Asia.
Prior to Seagate, Yang oversaw sales in Asia and Japan for LogRhythm and headed the Asia Pacific sales channels at Hitachi Data Systems.
He also served as president of storage services with Teleplan Consulting, an after-market service provider.
In addition, Yang was vice president of sales, at Acronis Asia, where he was responsible for driving key business and revenue growth across Asia Pacific for various blue-chip technology firms.
Yang will be based in Seagate's international headquarters in Singapore.
