PMT Security opens new offices in Adelaide & Brisbane
PMT Security has announced the opening of new offices in South Australia and significantly larger premises in Brisbane. This development follows the company's recent acquisition of Quest Security and the hiring of new personnel for its Communications division.
The South Australia operations will be led by Ryan Townend, a recent addition to the PMT team with substantial expertise in the electronic security sector. Townend, who assumes the role of Operations Manager, brings over 14 years of experience, particularly in high-security solutions. His professional background includes work on projects for various Australian Federal and State government agencies, as well as in the commercial, industrial, educational, and retail sectors.
Simon Vagg, previously based in Melbourne, will also join the new South Australian office. Vagg has been with PMT for over 11 years and will continue in his capacity as Support and Technical Services Manager. The new premises will serve dual functions, providing both office space and warehousing. This setup aims to give staff greater control over stock and offer technicians a central location for integrating, testing, and servicing hardware.
Ryan Townend's responsibilities will span South Australia, Northern Territory, and Tasmania, covering areas such as sales, technical support, and system design. Speaking about the new appointments and expanded facilities, Darren Taylor, Managing Director for PMT Security, described the move as a significant step for the company's operations in the region. Taylor commented, "This is a significant step for us, as it gives us a highly functional space on which to build our thriving business in South Australia, coupled with some very experienced and talented individuals to drive our business forward. Our plans for the region require us to have the right pieces in place before we really start to grow our operations and must also follow our philosophy that everything starts and ends with the outstanding service we provide. We believe we now have those pieces in place, and look forward to offering great security and communications services to the region."
The company's new office is strategically located in Adelaide's inner city district, in proximity to Adelaide airport. This location is expected to enhance logistical efficiencies for both employees and clients.
Furthermore, PMT Security's recent period of expansion includes not only the new South Australian office but also larger premises in Brisbane nearing completion and plans for new sites in Canberra. These moves mark substantial growth for PMT, which continues to develop its capacity to provide comprehensive security and communications solutions across Australia.
The ongoing expansions, recent acquisitions, and new hires all seem to align with PMT's broader strategy of enhancing service quality and operational efficiency as the company scales its business in multiple Australian regions. No additional announcements were made regarding specific timelines for the opening of these new premises.
