PixelForce launches AUD $1.5m launchpad to boost tech scaling
PixelForce has launched a new initiative aiming to address what it describes as a scaling gap among emerging technology businesses in Australia.
The move follows the company's observation of a 40% increase in 'rescue projects' for tech firms that struggle to move beyond their initial product launch phase.
Scaling focus
The PixelForce Launchpad will support ten Australian businesses, providing them with access to a platform foundation package valued at AUD $150,000 each.
This package includes features such as secure authentication systems, robust payment and subscription capabilities, centralised content management dashboards, cross-platform mobile app deployment frameworks, and scalable backend infrastructure.
Founders will co-invest alongside PixelForce under a collaborative investment model, with a minimum commitment required from applicants. The company has set aside AUD $1.5 million in support of the programme.
Strategic partnership
The initiative will draw on the experience of Tobi Pearce, co-founder of SWEAT and EzLicence, who became a stakeholder in PixelForce this year. Pearce will work with PixelForce to advise participating businesses, helping them to avoid common mistakes as they attempt to scale their operations both in Australia and overseas.
"Through my experience with the PixelForce business, particularly across development of EzLicence and SWEAT, I've seen firsthand the difference the right guidance and expertise can make in turning ambitious ideas into global success stories. Launching this initiative feels like the natural evolution of our decade-long relationship and a chance to share those lessons learned over the years. We want to give Australia's most driven founders the foundations, support, and knowledge they need to scale successfully." said Tobi Pearce, co-founder, SWEAT and EzLicence.
Selection criteria
Applicants to the programme will be assessed on business potential, technical fit, and scalability. The support package extends beyond technology, offering monthly strategic advisory sessions, network introductions, and media exposure for selected participants. Applications are open until February 2026.
Building for growth
PixelForce says the rise in 'rescue projects' underscores a challenge in the local technology sector, where many companies focus on initial product development without long-term planning for sustainable scaling. The Launchpad aims to change this by equipping businesses with tools that, according to the company, powered growth in previous projects like the SWEAT app.
Hinney Lo, co-founder of PixelForce, said the launchpad represents confidence in Australia's technology sector. "Together, we are backing ambitious founders and helping turn bold ideas into world-class digital products. Selected businesses will gain access to the right tools and hands-on support to navigate today's growth challenges. We will be providing the selected businesses with practical and embedded support through our platform foundation partnership, which can be the difference between a promising MVP and a category defining technology business," said Lo.
