Philips launches NASA-tested water filters with Heeney
Philips has announced a new range of water filtration products featuring technology tested by NASA and ESA. The products aim to reduce harmful contaminants in Australian tap water.
Professional athlete Isaac Heeney has partnered with Philips to promote its new water filtration technology to Australian households. Heeney's involvement aims to raise consumers' awareness about making informed water decisions, highlighting both health and environmental benefits.
This partnership showcases Philips' use of Aquaporin InsideTM water purification technology in their Reverse Osmosis Water Stations, technology initially developed for aerospace purposes. Philips' new Powered Pitchers featuring the PFAS Pro filter are slated for release in July and will be certified to NSF standards. They claim to remove over 50 contaminants, including chlorine, PFAS, metals, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, and microplastics.
Isaac Heeney, known for his career in the Sydney Swans and a proponent of a healthy lifestyle, expressed enthusiasm for his collaboration with Philips. He stated, "As an athlete, I know that what you put into your body matters - especially water. I'm excited to partner with Philips because they're offering Australians a smarter way to think and feel about their daily water consumption. Their filtration technology isn't just about better-tasting water - it's about making a positive choice for our health and the environment."
The new Philips water filtration solution presents itself as an environmentally conscious alternative to single-use plastic bottles. It offers consumers premium filtered water with options for instantly chilled or boiling water available at the touch of a button. This feature aligns with contemporary consumer desires for both convenience and environmental responsibility.
Heeney stated, "Making the switch to filtered water is about taking control of your daily water choices. The convenience of having premium filtered water at home, combined with knowing you're helping reduce plastic waste, makes it an easy decision."
The Philips water filtration range will be available through various major Australian retailers, such as Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Bing Lee, and Myer, making it broadly accessible to consumers across the country.
