Omada launches Fusion Gateway in Australia at AUD $349

Omada has launched a new Fusion Gateway product line aimed at managed service providers and installers seeking to simplify multi-site network deployments and remote management.
Its new networking range introduces integrated gateway devices with built-in cloud management, remote access and network troubleshooting features. Omada said the products are designed for small and medium-sized business environments including retail stores, offices and hospitality venues.
First products in the range include Fusion 2.5G, Fusion G+ and Fusion 2.5G PoE. Omada said these products support different deployment requirements while sharing the same management platform and software stack.
Fusion Gateways sit within Omada's broader networking ecosystem, which includes gateways, switches, wireless access points and surveillance products. According to the company, the gateways provide centralised management for connected Omada devices across multiple locations.
Deployment focus
Fusion 2.5G includes a built-in controller and cloud management functions without requiring additional licensing. Administrators can monitor and configure networks remotely through the Omada Cloud platform and mobile application.
Bluetooth-based onboarding through the Omada app is also supported. Omada said the setup process can automatically discover and adopt multiple network devices simultaneously to reduce deployment time for installers and service providers.
Support is available for desktop, wall-mounted and rack-mounted installations.
Fusion 2.5G is powered by a quad-core processor and includes five 2.5G ports. Support is also available for up to four WAN connections with load balancing and automatic failover.
Security features include intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems, alongside support for multiple VPN protocols.
Omada said the gateway delivers VPN performance up to five times faster than comparable products in the same category, although it did not specify which competing devices were used in the comparison.
Remote access
Omada has also introduced a feature called Omada LightLink VPN, which enables remote access through invite-based connections using either a web browser or mobile application.
Remote access capabilities are intended for branch connectivity and remote workers requiring secure access to business networks.
Support is also available for access control lists, quality of service management and full-mesh SD-WAN functions for distributed environments.
A 2.51-inch touchscreen has been integrated into Fusion 2.5G for local monitoring and troubleshooting. Users can access traffic information, diagnostics and device status without requiring a connected laptop.
Omada said the feature is intended to reduce repeat maintenance visits by allowing technicians to identify issues directly from the device.
Unified systems
Alongside the current launch, Omada outlined plans for a future Fusion Pro series that will extend centralised management across both networking and surveillance products.
The proposed platform will integrate management for Omada networking hardware and VIGI surveillance systems within a single interface.
Omada said Fusion Pro is aimed at larger multi-site deployments that require unified monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting across different infrastructure categories.
The company also positioned the single-vendor approach as a way to reduce ownership and operational management costs for organisations operating distributed environments.
Portfolio growth
Fusion Gateway products form part of Omada's wider business networking portfolio, which includes Wi-Fi 7 access points and managed switching products.
Omada has also continued expanding its surveillance offering with cameras and network video recorders integrated into the same management ecosystem.
Fusion 2.5G is currently available in Australia through TP-Link channel partners at an RRP of AUD $349.
