Logitech enhances ACCIONA collaboration with new video tools

Today

Logitech has announced the completion of a major communication and collaboration project for ACCIONA's infrastructure and renewable energy operations in Australia and New Zealand.

The technology roll-out equips over 4,500 ACCIONA employees, including those at the Western Harbour Tunnel in Sydney, the Tall Tree Wind Farm in Victoria, and the Brisbane Metro project, with enhanced video conferencing and collaboration tools.

Across hundreds of meeting spaces, including 274 rooms enabled for video conferencing, new solutions have been introduced to support real-time collaboration between geographically dispersed teams. The deployment combines in-person and remote communication tools with software for device management, updates, and configuration.

According to Logitech, the project has transformed ACCIONA's operations across project offices, work sites, and remote teams, enabling their Information and Communications Technology (ICT) teams to efficiently manage updates, safety issues, and daily workflow changes.

The suite of tools implemented includes the Logitech Rally Bar, Tap, Sight, and Tap Schedulers, aimed at providing high-quality video experiences in meeting rooms. The setup is designed to support streamlined communication while also considering environmental factors.

Logitech's Sync software allows ACCIONA's ICT Operations to monitor meeting rooms, swiftly identify issues, and maintain uninterrupted support. In addition, Auto Release technology within the Tap Schedulers ensures that unoccupied rooms are automatically freed, helping avoid scheduling conflicts and optimising room usage.

Dan Cassar, Manager End User Services at ACCIONA, commented on the project's importance, stating, "Our meeting rooms are declared to be critical infrastructure, and we treat them that way because of the importance around our collaboration."

The partnership also factored in sustainability objectives, with both companies citing aligned values as a driving force behind the collaboration. This reflects growing expectations in the enterprise sector regarding sustainability and accountability.

Zoe Barber, Sustainability Advisor at ACCIONA, said, "Sustainability is in our company DNA. The way in which ACCIONA procures all its partners is with sustainability at the forefront. We need to make sure our partners are aligned with our goals in terms of sustainability outputs, and Logitech fits that bill well."

Damian Lepore, ANZ Managing Director at Logitech, explained the company's focus on environmental goals in its business offerings. "This can be the final tipping point for the decision makers, knowing that their investment in our product solutions comes with a solid brand promise of Logitech designing for sustainability and innovating for a circular economy," he stated.

Lepore added, "When we partner with progressive companies like ACCIONA, it's so much more than signing a new client contract. The partnership is based on a mutual moral and ethical code that spreads positivity and pride right throughout both companies and everyone who works there. It's good for business on so many levels."

The collaboration is positioned as supporting ACCIONA's aim to deliver environmentally responsible solutions across its infrastructure projects while facilitating efficient communication within its workforce.
