LG launches Business Cloud to unify tools & drive sustainability
LG Electronics Australia has introduced the LG Business Cloud platform as part of its expansion beyond traditional hardware products. The new platform provides unified access to various cloud-based applications and tools, aiming to streamline technology management for business customers. The showcase highlighted LG's changing approach in the business-to-business sector, where it seeks to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions across different industries.
Cloud platform
The LG Business Cloud brings together several existing LG services, including SuperSign Cloud, ConnectedCare, and Pro:Centric Cloud, into a centralised system. This integration gives business clients a single interface for managing digital signage, monitoring device status, and accessing specialised content management solutions.
The company said the unified interface is intended to reduce complexity for businesses operating in environments such as corporate offices, educational institutions, and hospitality venues. LG positioned the platform as a response to the increasing demand for scalable services that can adapt to diverse industry requirements.
Industry use cases
The event included demonstrations featuring technology firms Crestron and Neat. These sessions explored how LG's display solutions combine with control systems and room booking tools to deliver coordinated technology environments for meetings and large spaces. The integrations were shown in scenarios covering corporate, education, and large-venue use.
End-users and partners also presented use cases addressing needs such as hybrid work, automated retail, and energy efficiency. LG underscored the relevance of its hardware-and-software combination in meeting growing priorities in environmental, social, and governance compliance for businesses of varying sizes.
Corporate strategy
LG described the Business Cloud as central to its broader shift from a product-led company to a provider of end-to-end solutions. The strategy brings together internal technologies and external partner capabilities, reflecting a wider industry trend towards platform-based models in business technology.
"LG Connect 2025 represented a pivotal moment for LG as we clearly demonstrated our evolution into a comprehensive technology partner. We were thrilled to officially launch the LG Business Cloud, which is foundational to our strategy of delivering integrated, scalable, and sustainable value to our customers.
"The showcase was an opportunity to showcase our innovative hardware and more importantly, how we are working with our partners to build powerful ecosystems that solve real-world business challenges and drive mutual success," said Chris Wilson, General Manager of Business Solutions, LG Electronics Australia.
Sustainability focus
The company emphasised the role of sustainability in its solutions portfolio. LG outlined features designed to promote efficiency and resource management, aiming to support customers in meeting environmental targets and fulfilling obligations under ESG frameworks. Products and services were presented as supportive of longer device lifespans, energy reduction, and better digital management.
During the event, both LG and its partners discussed the need for technology providers to offer measurable benefits in productivity and compliance, highlighting a move towards measurable outcomes in business technology procurement.
