Konica Minolta UV printer picks up award from Keypoint Intelligence

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Konica Minolta's print solutions have been recognised by independent evaluation firm Keypoint Intelligence as part of the Keypoint Intelligence Pacesetter Awards in Production Print Applications.

The awards uncover the digital print manufacturing vendors that support customers' ‘driving applications to success', as well as effective communications via print and digital printing.

Konica Minolta received the Buyers Lab (BLI) 2021-2022 PaceSetter in Production Print Applications: Output Variety award.

The award gave particular focus to Konica Minolta's AccurioJet KM-1e LED UV Inkjet Press, which was recognised for its range of print applications on substrates.

Keypoint Intelligence research found that the device can print on media that many others cannot, including PET adhesive, polyethylene and polypropylene, while items such as greeting cards, hotel room keys, and ID badges can be printed on PVC or texture film.

Konica Minolta adds that UV inkjet technology can also print on plastics, backlit signage, transparent film, foiled paper, metallic media, canvas, and synthetic substrates.

“The AccurioJet KM-1e continues to help customers pursue high value-added products where high-quality production, extensive media compatibility, and personalisation are required,” the company states.

Keypoint Intelligence director of on-demand printing, German Sacristan, says, “Art applications printed on canvas sizes up to 23"x29.5" can be output on the KM-1e. Additionally, the KM-1e has an offline laser-cutting system specifically built for the B2+ sheet size that is capable of producing different types of sleek finishes.

“Also important is that Konica Minolta supports its customers' success with business development and a customised professional service program.

The AccurioJet KM-1e was released in the Australia and New Zealand market in 2020.

Konica Minolta product marketing manager Tatjana Ferguson says the printer can help customers grow their businesses and maximise workflow efficiency.

“Konica Minolta is proud to receive this honour from Keypoint Intelligence, reaffirming the AccurioJet KM-1e's leadership position in LED UV inkjet technology and finishing.

Last month Konica Minolta New Zealand opened a new showroom in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. The showroom includes customer demonstrations of products including the AccurioPress C14000.

At the time of the showroom's opening, Konica Minolta New Zealand managing director Eric Holtsmark said that the showroom reflects the company's continued investment in New Zealand.

“Konica Minolta is here to support our customers with an outstanding service team and now a showroom where customers can experience our new innovations.

Konica Minolta New Zealand national production print manager Chris O'Hara added, “It's really exciting to have a showroom so close to our customers where they will be able to experience our innovative technology first-hand, which is critical when making an investment in their business.
