Jscrambler grows executive team in global expansion drive

Thu, 1st Feb 2024

Portugal-based Jscrambler, a leading platform for client-side protection and compliance, has announced the appointment of Mukesh Sharma as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Tyson Whitten as the Vice President of Global Marketing. The new additions to the Executive Leadership team are set to bolster the company's global expansion plans. Jscrambler's ambition is to provide secure digital innovation for online businesses around the world by defending them against client-side cybersecurity threats, data breaches, intellectual property theft, and compliance violations.

Rui Ribeiro, CEO and Cofounder at Jscrambler, expressed his delight about the new appointments, saying: "We are thrilled to announce the appointments of Mukesh and Tyson, who both bring a wealth of cybersecurity experience from early-stage growth companies. Their leadership, operational expertise, and proven track records align magnificently with our company goals, and ambition to protect every first-party JavaScript and third-party tag, on every webpage collecting sensitive data, worldwide."

Mukesh Sharma has over two decades of extensive experience in technology and cybersecurity leadership. He has an impressive portfolio that includes scaling operations and teams at both start-ups and multi-billion dollar organisations. Prior to his appointment, Sharma held prominent positions at several high-paced and innovative companies such as VMware (Broadcom), Puppet (Perforce), Sumo Logic, and Atos. His strategic vision and operational efficiency are focused on achieving a customer-centric approach.

Tyson Whitten joins Jscrambler following a successful four-year tenure at ReversingLabs, where he served as the Vice President of Global Marketing. Whitten, known for his prowess in building and scaling marketing teams at venture-funded cybersecurity companies, also served in leadership roles at CA Technologies (Broadcom), SecureWorks, and Guardent (Verisign).

Both Sharma and Whitten will play significant roles in bolstering Jscrambler's growth in the realm of client-side protection and compliance within the application security market. Sharma will oversee the global go-to-market strategy, sales, marketing, partner programmes, and financial operations of the company. On the other hand, Whitten will be responsible for shaping the company's brand, messaging, product marketing, demand generation, field marketing, content marketing, and sales enablement strategies.

On his part, COO Mukesh Sharma stated: "Jscrambler is trusted by the top e-commerce, financial, media, and travel companies worldwide. Our track record of industry-first innovations and continuous advancements has firmly established Jscrambler as the unrivaled leader in Client-Side Protection and Compliance. I look forward to working hands-on with customers, stakeholders, partners and our team to help take Jscrambler to the next level."

Vice President of Global Marketing, Tyson Whitten, added: "Every online business is now attempting to innovate through the web, APIs, and JavaScript. The issue organizations are facing is that JavaScript and third-party tags natively expose the business to a slew of problems including skimming attacks, IP theft, data leakage, and non-compliance with the PCI standard. Jscrambler is the only company to address these issues comprehensively through future-proof protection against client-side JavaScript threats and risks."
