Intel is extending the benefits of AI PCs to commercial customers with its new Intel vPro platform. This platform aims to provide a more secure, manageable, productive, and stable foundation for commercial client devices, leading to the new wave of business technology.

The Intel vPro platform has been designed with the new Intel Core Ultra processor, which offers performance leadership, enhanced power efficiency, and available built-in Intel Arc GPUs. This new processor will allow commercial PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra to support everyday apps and unlock an array of unique AI experiences.

David Feng, Intel Vice President of Client Computing Group and General Manager of Client Segments, stated that "The new Intel vPro platform with Intel Core Ultra continues to raise the bar across productivity, security, manageability, and stability, to ensure IT organisations manage transitions with confidence." The new Intel Core Ultra processor boasts enhanced power efficiency and available built-in Intel Arc GPUs. It delivers leadership in performance and dedicated AI acceleration capability across the central processing unit (CPU), graphics processing unit (GPU) and the new neural processing unit (NPU). This allows commercial PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra to support everyday apps and unlock a new wave of AI experiences.

A major feature of these new processors is their ability to support the latest platform technologies and maximise computing headroom for advanced applications and multitasking. With technologies such as Intel Thread Director and Intel Dynamic Tuning, tasks and clock frequencies can be managed for optimal performance, energy efficiency, and a great user experience.

The Intel vPro platform harnesses these benefits to enhance the productivity of all users. It offers significant gains of up to 47% better office application productivity over a three-year-old PC. Furthermore, the platform prioritises security, with enhanced Intel Threat Detection Technology taking advantage of the new NPU to improve the efficiency of anomaly detection and reduce power consumption.

This platform revolutionises not only performance but also sustainability across the PC product lifecycle. Currently, 94% of Intel vPro devices are EPEAT Silver or better, and a single use of Intel vPro's remote repair capabilities saves carbon emissions equivalent to two years of PC usage, as compared to dispatching a technician on site.
