Informatica has announced that Jacob Van Der Eyk is taking a new role as its partner development manager for Australia and New Zealand, providing a stronger arm to the data management solutions company's INFORM Partner Program.
Van Der Eyk will concentrate on the company's channel efforts, using his background in IT with more than 30 years experience building business growth and revenue opportunities for customers.
Nick Smith, Informatica's ANZ managing director, believes Van Der Eyk is an excellent fit for the role, citing his expertise and success in previous roles.
“The INFORM Partner Program is critical to creating mutual and sustainable value for Informatica and our partners,” Smith says.
“Jacob is an expert in establishing strategic alliances and partnerships aligned to client needs in the enterprise and commercial markets as well as public sector. With a successful track record in identifying trends in growth market segments such as Cloud and Big Data, he will lead the channel team to greater success in FY17,” Smith continues.
Van Der Eyk believes that Informatica's current position and future efforts will provide a 'partner-first' approach to the ANZ market.

We are launching a new program in 2017 to support our valued partners in this region. It will drive business growth by aligning our big data, cloud and data management solutions with the domain expertise of our global and regional partners. Van Der Eyk brings previous experience as both partner manager Software Solutions and leading the Customer Information Management business at Pitney Bowes. He also managed the Financial Crimes compliance team in Asia Pacific and Japan. He has also held an ANZ partner account manager position at EMC.
