HP has launched a new range of AI-powered PCs in Australia, built on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.

The line-up includes the OmniBook Ultra 14 laptop, OmniStudio X 27 all-in-one desktop, EliteBook X G2i Flip business laptop and ZBook X G2i mobile workstation. The products are aimed at consumer, commercial and creative users.

The launch marks HP's latest effort to refresh its Australian PC range around on-device AI features. The devices are designed to handle AI tasks locally through dedicated processing built into the new Intel chips.

That local processing is intended to support faster content creation, video call enhancements and multitasking, while improving power efficiency. The portfolio spans HP's OmniBook, OmniStudio, EliteBook and gaming-related ranges.

Work focus

The commercial side of the launch centres on hybrid work and mobile productivity. HP positions the EliteBook X G2i Flip as a lightweight business laptop that combines security, battery life and AI collaboration tools for professional users.

The ZBook X G2i is positioned as a mobile workstation for creators and others with more demanding workloads. It can be configured with NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell graphics and is intended for tasks including 3D design, video editing and AI workloads.

The ZBook X G2i will be sold as a Copilot+ PC with local AI processing, collaboration features and Wi-Fi 7. HP added that the device includes recycled materials as part of its broader sustainability efforts.

Brad Pulford, Managing Director, HP Australia and New Zealand, linked the launch to changing workplace patterns.

"Work no longer fits neatly into a single place, role or nine‐to‐five day and technology needs to adapt to people, not the other way around," said Brad Pulford, Managing Director, HP Australia and New Zealand.

"At HP, we believe the future of work is human‐centric and flexible, powered by intelligent technology that helps people stay productive, creative and connected wherever work happens. Our next‐generation portfolio brings this to life by combining AI-powered performance with a seamlessly connected ecosystem, so work feels simpler, more intuitive and more secure," he said.

Consumer models

On the consumer side, HP is introducing the OmniStudio X 27 and OmniBook Ultra 14. The all-in-one desktop has a 27-inch QHD display and can be configured with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, while the laptop pairs Intel's latest chips with a 3K OLED display and AI collaboration tools.

Both consumer devices are aimed at creative work, entertainment and everyday computing. The launch reflects a broader market shift as PC makers increasingly present AI functions as a standard feature in premium devices rather than a niche add-on.

Intel is supplying the processors across the range and framed the products as part of a broader shift in personal computing. Built-in AI acceleration is intended to improve responsiveness and efficiency while extending battery life.

"Together with HP, we're helping shape the future of work through AI-powered PCs designed for how people work today. Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors deliver strong performance, improved efficiency and built-in AI capabilities that support smarter multitasking, faster content creation and more responsive computing experiences, on a device that lasts more than a day," said Glen Boatwright, Country Manager, Intel Australia and New Zealand.

"Combined with HP's innovation and ecosystem, we're delivering technology that not only meets today's workplace needs but is ready for the next wave of AI-driven productivity," he said.

Pricing and branding

The OmniStudio X 27 will be available from the end of May at AUD $2,899. The OmniBook Ultra 14 is listed at AUD $4,499, while the EliteBook X G2i starts at AUD $4,500. The ZBook X G2i will start at AUD $6,500 when it goes on sale later in May.

Alongside the PC launch, HP is continuing to fold its OMEN gaming systems and HyperX peripherals into a single HyperX master brand. The move follows earlier branding updates and reflects an effort to link devices, displays and accessories more closely across its gaming range.

The Australian rollout comes as PC manufacturers seek to stimulate demand with new hardware tied to AI software features and upgraded silicon. For HP, the launch spans mainstream consumer products, premium business notebooks and mobile workstations, with prices reaching AUD $6,500 for the top-end ZBook X G2i.
