FYI, this story is more than a year old

Fortinet has been named as the winner of Microsoft's 2020 Commercial Marketplace Partner of the Year.

The company says the win underscores its "commitment to enable easy and secure deployment of SaaS, VM or container security solutions" to protect Azure workloads and applications.

Fortinet was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

“This award reflects the proven growth and success of Fortinet's offerings on Azure Marketplace as we continue to see significant customer demand,” says John Maddison, executive vice president of products and CMO at Fortinet.

“We look forward to building on our shared commitment to ensuring customers can use the cloud with confidence by enabling fast and simple deployment of new security services.

Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president, One Commercial Partner, Microsoft, said Microsoft's 2020 Commercial Marketplace Partner of the Year award recognises Fortinet for excelling in the marketplace journey.

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year. Awards were classified in several categories, with honourees chosen from a set of more than 3,300 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide.

“It is an honour to recognise the winners and finalists of the 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards,” says Schuster.

“These partners go above and beyond, delivering timely solutions that solve the complex challenges that businesses around the world face – from communicating and collaborating virtually to helping customers realise their full potential with Azure cloud services, and beyond. I am proud to honour and congratulate each winner and finalist.

Meanwhile, Ingram Micro Cloud has been named as the winner of the Indirect Provider 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award.

The Indirect Provider Partner of the Year Award recognises partner excellence in transforming the traditional transactional business model into a value-based, solution-provider model that reaches resellers at scale to drive usage, consumption and customer acquisition growth throughout the partner channel.

Ingram Micro Cloud was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services as an indirect provider partner.

"In the complex cloud economy, we are proud of our role in making our partners road to success with Microsoft simple and clear," Nimesh Dav, executive vice president, Ingram Micro Cloud said of the announcement.

"Honoured by this recognition from Microsoft, we will continue to focus on streamlining and creating a success formula for partners that will help them optimise their business growth," he says.
