Empired inks $10 million Horizon Power deal
Empired has secured another $10 million infrastructure managed services contract, this time with Western Australia's Horizon Power.
The deal follows the recent $12 million managed services contract with Western Power and follows hard on the heels of last week's announcement of a $10 million infrastructure technical services contract with the Victoria Department of Education and Training.
The latest contract will see Empired providing a range of managed services for Horizon Power including management of core infrastructure and networks, front line service desk and service management, security and management of workplace services, including tablet and mobile devices.
Empired will also provide a range of proejct services for 'the enhancement and development of Horizon Power's technology environment'.
The contract is structured as an initial three year term with a two year option.
Frank Tudor, Horizon Power managing director, says the company has been undergoing a major business transformation over the past two years and the contract is a key part of its evolution.
"We look to this partnership with Empired to assist us I harnessing technology to drive efficiency, productivity and competitive advantage into our organisation," Tudor says.
Transition and ramp-up services have been completed and all operational services under the contract are now being delivered, Empired says.
Empired says it has secured strategic contracts worth more than $95 million this year, including deals with some of Australia's largest government and corporate organisations.
