Cohesity ramps up ANZ presence with first channel manager appointment
Cohesity is accelerating its market presence across Australia and New Zealand with the appointment of Kathryn Ramanathan as the company's first Channel and Alliances Manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Melbourne, Ramanathan is responsible for enhancing the company's momentum among regional channel partners and systems integrators.
Under Ramanathan's leadership, Cohesity will supposedly arm partners with a variety of resources that can help them deliver more value to their customers, differentiate in the market and positively impact revenues.
These resources include technical enablement, training, market development support and collaborative selling solutions.
Ramanathan's appointment comes at a time when enterprises globally and across ANZ are struggling with a challenge called mass data fragmentation, where data is scattered across on-premises and cloud locations, sits in infrastructure silos that don't integrate and is nearly impossible to manage.
Working with Cohesity, partners can supposedly play a role in helping enterprises directly address these problems while extracting maximum value from their data.
Ramanathan joins Cohesity with more than ten years' experience in the IT industry and was previously Team Lead and Strategic Partner Manager - Southern Region at Hitachi Vantara.
During this time, she was responsible for partner development, sales enablement and channel sales certification in New Zealand, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
Prior, she was ANZ OEM Territory Representative for Brocade Communications where she worked with partners to close deals across the company's range of Storage Area Networks, IP, SWN and Wi-Fi solutions.
Ramanathan also previously worked at Hewlett Packard Australia for more than five years in several positions, including as Enterprise Service Storage Communications and Promotions Manager where she managed the HP and Enterprise Server Storage and Networking Rewards program. She has also worked at NTT Communications as Enterprise Account Manager.
"We have experienced significant growth in the past year across Australia and New Zealand and as a channel-led organisation Kathryn's appointment is a natural step in further enhancing our dedicated focus and support to regional partners to ensure their success, said Theo Hourmouzis, ANZ Managing Director, Cohesity.
"Her considerable channel partner industry experience and prior accomplishments in delivering winning relationships with specialist resellers and service partners will further enable our partners to provide exceptional backup and recovery solutions and help customers extract maximum value from their data.
