Acronis reports 57% revenue boost in Australia in 2024

Fri, 25th Oct 2024

Acronis has reported a significant 57% year-over-year revenue increase in Australia, spurred by a heightened demand for its AI-powered cybersecurity solutions.

The company has been expanding its presence in the country, focusing on solutions tailored for managed service providers (MSPs) and businesses. The introduction of Acronis Advanced Security + XDR and Acronis MDR services, in addition to a marked rise in endpoint detection and response (EDR) workloads, positions Acronis as a significant player in managing the complex cyber threats faced by businesses today. The company credits 2024 as a transformative year, highlighted by rapid adoption of its comprehensive cybersecurity solutions and increased support for the local business community through initiatives like the #TeamUp program and the MSP Academy.

Acronis has noted a year-over-year increase in the adoption of advanced EDR workloads, leading to the 57% revenue growth with a 50% increase in total workloads. More businesses are turning to Acronis solutions to enhance their cybersecurity measures.

"2024 has been a transformative year for Acronis in Australia," stated Kelly Johnson, General Manager at Acronis ANZ. "Our expansion is driven by the rising demand for comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, and we're proud to help local businesses and MSPs fortify their defences. To add, the growth of our #TeamUp program and the introduction of the MSP Academy have further solidified our commitment to support the technology and business community in Australia."

The pressure on businesses to comply with the Australia's Cyber Security Strategy has significantly increased the demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions providing reliable services for MSPs. Australian enterprises are choosing Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for its native integration of cybersecurity, data protection, and endpoint management, reducing downtime and aiding in reaching the Essential Eight maturity levels.

Michael Barnes, Director and Principal Analyst at Tech Research Asia remarked, "Cybersecurity is a top business priority for Australian organisations, with 57% of firms increasing their cybersecurity budgets in 2024. This presents a significant opportunity for trusted partners as businesses transition to resilience-centred approaches while adopting emerging technologies, including AI."

Acronis is dedicated to delivering cybersecurity solutions that empower MSPs and businesses throughout Australia and beyond. The company announced the availability of Acronis Advanced Security + XDR and Acronis MDR services in June 2024, with a focus on enhancing cyber resilience by leveraging both regional and global threat intelligence, as demonstrated by the Acronis Threat Research Unit.

"Acronis is experiencing a period of hypergrowth in the region, driven by our AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities that complement traditional backup solutions," said Gaidar Magdanurov, President at Acronis. "Australia is a key market for Acronis. With the Acronis Threat Research Unit, we are deepening our commitment to regional threat intelligence, while enhancing our ability to support customers and partners as they navigate the complexities of today's digital landscape."

Acronis continues to innovate, providing solutions that address the evolving priorities of organisations across the region. These developments underscore Acronis' growing presence in the ANZ market, as more Australian businesses adopt its cybersecurity offerings.
