Westcon-Comstor has been recognised as a Great Place to Work in Australia following its first application for the certification in the country.

The Great Place To Work certification is based entirely on feedback from current employees, who evaluate their workplace experience. In Australia, 91% of Westcon-Comstor employees described the company as a great place to work. On a global scale, the company received an 89% response rate from its staff and achieved a Trust Index score of 77%.

This marks Westcon-Comstor's debut application for the Great Place To Work certification in Australia, though the company has secured the accolade in 26 other countries. With over 3,600 employees worldwide, the recognition highlights its commitment to fostering an inclusive and people-centric environment.

According to the survey results, 85% of Westcon-Comstor employees globally expressed pride in their roles and in the company itself. An even greater proportion reported that all employees are treated fairly regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

In addition to fairness and inclusion, employees pointed to flexibility and autonomy as key strengths at the company. Confidence in the company's leadership was also highlighted in the feedback provided by staff.

Erna de Ruijter-Quist, Chief People Officer at Westcon-Comstor, commented on the certification: "We are thrilled to achieve Great Place To Work CertificationTM in Australia at the first time of asking. We are very proud of the recognition. It is testament to the great culture which has been built over the years. We are equally clear that this is just the beginning. The real work starts now as we evaluate what our people have told us and make further improvements to our employee experience. We continually strive to make Westcon-Comstor an even better place to work and one where our people can thrive."

Patrick Aronson, APAC Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Westcon-Comstor, also acknowledged the outcome: "I'm incredibly proud of our team for earning the Great Place to Work certification. This recognition is more than a badge, it's a reflection of our shared values and of the culture we've built together. Our employees and leaders have worked hard to create an environment where people feel respected, supported, and inspired to grow and this award belongs to all of us."

In the Asia-Pacific and Asia regions, the average satisfaction score was 85%, aligning closely with the company's global results.

Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work, commented on the certification: "Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience. By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Westcon-Comstor stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

The research conducted by Great Place To Work indicates that job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find an effective manager at a certified organisation. Employees at certified workplaces are also 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, have the opportunity to earn a fair share of company profits, and access fair promotion prospects.
