Trellix revamps partner program for cybersecurity growth

Today

Global cybersecurity firm Trellix has announced the revamping of its Trellix Xtend Partner Program, designed to foster mutual growth and profitability among its partners while focusing on long-term success.

The improved program offers partners new cybersecurity training and educational resources, vital for navigating the increasingly sophisticated threat landscape. The revamped partner model also grants access to the comprehensive Trellix Security Platform, which includes solutions across endpoint, data, network, email, and cloud tailored to specific customer requirements.

Kurt Mills has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Global Channel Chief. Mills, with over two decades of experience at companies such as Check Point, Symantec, and McAfee, will be guiding the company's channel transformation initiatives. Mills said, "The security expertise of our partners is crucial for creating solutions to safeguard customer data, protect reputations, and defend businesses against increasingly sophisticated and complex cyberattacks. Trellix shares in our partners' mission to deliver innovative and scalable cybersecurity built to strengthen operational resilience, and we've revitalised our partner program to position our partners best to achieve their goals."

The Trellix Xtend Partner Program is centred on four pillars to ensure success. Coverage is enhanced through a revamped partner management portal and learning programme, enabling partners to meet varied customer needs across different sectors and geographies. Competency is built through advanced training and certifications, allowing partners to specialise in areas such as endpoint security and network detection and response.

Contribution focuses on the creation of mutual value through sales growth and market expansion. The program introduces new tiers with improved incentives to reward collaboration and performance throughout the lifecycle of an account. Commitment is shown through the construction of long-term partnerships with aligned objectives, offering robust support and resources.

Mark Thornberry, Senior Vice President of Vendor Management at GuidePoint Security, commented on the revamped program: "The cyberthreat landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and vendors and solutions are adapting just as quickly. To ensure we're delivering the most advanced, comprehensive security strategy for our customers, we focus on strong, scalable solutions and cutting-edge technologies. We're excited about the refreshed Trellix Xtend program and its ability to help combat both current and future threats."

The Trellix Xtend program encompasses various partner types, including the Security Innovation Alliance, OEM & Embedded Alliance, Solution Providers, Security Advisors, and Marketplace partners.

Mills will also focus on transforming the channel by increasing engagement and recognising partner contributions. His efforts will unify Trellix's channel and field teams, which is expected to enhance the overall partner experience.

Jason Andrew, Chief Revenue Officer at Trellix, expressed confidence in this initiative: "Trellix's partner ecosystem is integral to our global sales strategy, and we're committed to helping drive growth for them through continuous investments in our partner program. Kurt's deep expertise in cybersecurity shaped our enhanced Trellix Xtend partner program, and we're confident increased collaboration and partner focus across our organisation will help define quality engagements for our partners."
