Thryv Australia wins global award for marketing with purpose

Yesterday

Thryv Australia has been named the global winner of the Marketing with Purpose award at the 2025 Microsoft Advertising Partner Awards.

The recognition builds on Thryv's prior success as the winner for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, further establishing its role in developing efficient growth strategies for small businesses globally.

The Marketing with Purpose award honours organisations that embody inclusive, ethical, and purpose-driven marketing. Thryv's approach focuses on providing small businesses with tools through platforms such as the Thryv Marketing Center, Thryv Business Center, and Thryv Command Center to effectively attract and retain customers. These platforms assist businesses in creating impactful websites, managing social media, optimising SEO, and automating lead conversion.

Thryv's data-driven approach has yielded significant benefits for small businesses using Microsoft Advertising, including an average Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +55 across its products. A survey conducted by Thryv indicates that 71% of its clients report saving over 72 hours per month by utilising the platform, allowing them to concentrate on business expansion.

Elise Balsillie, Head of Thryv Australia and New Zealand, highlighted the importance of this global award. "This significant award is a testament to our mission of empowering small businesses to achieve big outcomes. We break down barriers in marketing, equipping our customers with tools that create measurable success. Being recognised not just at the APAC level but now also globally, is an extraordinary honour," she stated.

She further emphasised the company's dedication to ethical marketing. "Beyond recognition, this award underscores our commitment to marketing with integrity and innovation. At Thryv, we develop solutions that give small enterprises a true competitive edge, ensuring they can continue to grow and succeed. It also reinforces our responsibility to set new standards for impactful, ethical and results-driven marketing," added Elise.

Katherine Ellis, Global Partner Marketing Director and Awards Lead at Microsoft Advertising, expressed enthusiasm for Thryv's achievement. "Microsoft Advertising is honoured to present Thryv Australia with the Marketing with Purpose award. We were delighted by the high quality of nominations from our partners this year, and thrilled to announce their win during Microsoft Advertising Accelerate 2025. We're proud to be celebrating with our partners and are inspired by their dedication, commitment to partnership and driving success for their clients," she said.

Thryv maintains a strong internal culture centred on a people-first mindset. The company supports an inclusive workplace with initiatives such as the Women of Thryv program and partnerships with organisations including ComPsych, R U OK?, and Breast Cancer Trials.

"Our vision is to make a difference. Whether it's empowering small businesses to grow or ensuring our employees feel valued and supported, we are here to create lasting and positive change," Elise added.
