The Working Party appoints Dominik Wilkowski as CTO

The Working Party, an eCommerce agency based in Melbourne, Australia, has appointed Dominik Wilkowski as Chief Technology Officer.

Dominik Wilkowski re-joins The Working Party after ten years, bringing extensive experience from previous roles at Shopify, Westpac, and Thinkmill. His appointment is part of the agency's strategy to enhance its technical capabilities following its recent expansion into the New Zealand market.

During his earlier tenure with The Working Party in 2014, Dominik developed a responsive framework for The Westpac Group that established a multi-brand design system. This allowed various teams to build consistent applications and websites for brands including Bank of Melbourne, Bank South Australia, and St George. At Shopify, Dominik played a pivotal role in the evolution of Polaris, a widely recognised design system.

Dominik's professional journey includes serving as People Director at Thinkmill, where he expanded the team significantly and grew the consultancy's design systems arm. His experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams positions him to effectively manage the engineering and design divisions of The Working Party.

In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Dominik will be responsible for developing The Working Party's technical strategy. This encompasses overseeing digital product development, design systems, and technical infrastructure. He is expected to foster collaboration among the UX/UI and development teams, and guide the agency's product roadmap in coordination with Shopify.
