SourseAI & Digitalk join forces to support new MVNOs

Today

Sydney-based AI firm SourseAI has announced a partnership with Digitalk to support the development of new mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

The collaboration aims to provide an end-to-end solution for emerging MVNOs, leveraging SourseAI's decision intelligence engine, Atlas, alongside Digitalk's MVNE-as-a-Service platform. This combination is designed to offer new MVNOs the necessary tools to effectively launch, understand their customer base, and grow in the market.

Paul Bassa, Executive VP of Mobile Cloud at Digitalk, highlighted the benefits of this collaboration for new MVNO entrants. "There are so many compelling examples of mobile services being used to drive loyalty in traditional industries. Mobile is a great offering to engage an existing customer base and generate loyalty. With traditional telcos struggling to innovate there's never been a better time to start an MVNO. But it's not simply a case of build it and they will come. New MVNOs need to be nimble and disruptive, while relying on a small team to achieve a lot," stated Bassa.

Bassa added that new MVNOs require a comprehensive set of tools to navigate their market successfully. "To successfully create a new proposition, launch and identify an audience, or engage an existing customer base, new MVNOs need tools that helps them fill their knowledge and skills gaps. They need something where they can pick and choose the tools and technologies they need and have confidence it will scale with them as they grow. And it needs to be reliable – even the smallest downtime can be catastrophic for a new MVNO. Digitalk and SourseAI's combined proposition has MVNOs covered. We've created the perfect platform of tools to help new MVNOs build a business, innovate, disrupt the market and ultimately, grow," he explained.

Tanya Hyams-Young, CEO of SourseAI, discussed the disruptive potential of MVNOs in the telecom sector outside traditional boundaries. "MVNO's, especially those beyond the telco sector, are driving disruption in the telco sector. We want to help these new operators really push the envelope and disrupt the market. But they need confidence to really do that. They need confidence in their product offering and bundles, their business modelling, audience research and campaigns," said Hyams-Young.

Hyams-Young further noted the role of data science and AI in bolstering MVNO operations. "There's a misconception that you need deep pockets and investment in internal teams to make the most of data science and AI. This isn't the case. You need data and that can come from existing customer bases, external data sets and historical data. Once you have built an audience, it is a continual process to understand your customers' behaviour and create offerings they value. Atlas works hand-in-hand with the Digitalk to give telcos all the tools they need to create a customer-centric, data driven and disruptive telco," she noted.

The partnership between SourseAI and Digitalk represents a synergistic blend of AI-driven insights and flexible platform capabilities designed to aid MVNOs in effectively positioning themselves within the competitive telecommunications landscape.
