Sony expands ULT POWER SOUND range with Post Malone
Sony has announced the expansion of its ULT POWER SOUND range, introducing three new speakers alongside global superstar Post Malone in a collaboration for the "For The Music" campaign.
The new speakers include the ULT TOWER 9AC, ULT FIELD 5, and ULT FIELD 3. They are designed to provide an immersive audio experience with powerful bass and dynamic sound features when the ULT button is activated. The range is complemented by the introduction of the ULTMIC1 wireless microphones, compatible with the ULT POWER SOUND series.
The ULT TOWER 9AC is described as offering strong bass and sound pressure for party atmospheres. This speaker is equipped with an AC connection and features two bass modes, ULT1 and ULT2, for varying bass levels. The model includes 360° Party Sound technology with four tweeters and two mid-range speakers for optimal sound clarity across a room.
Additionally, the ULT TOWER 9AC integrates karaoke and guitar inputs and supports a TV Sound Booster function, offering enhanced audio for visual content. It also features synchronised 360° Party Lights capable of connecting with up to 100 compatible speakers for an expanded party environment.
The ULT FIELD 5 and ULT FIELD 3 are designed for portability, with shoulder straps for ease of transport. Both models enhance bass sound with ULT1 and ULT2 modes on the ULT FIELD 5 and a single ULT mode on the ULT FIELD 3. The speakers promote clear sound output with tweeters and passive radiators tailored to improve bass response.
The ULT FIELD 5 offers a battery life of up to 25 hours, while the ULT FIELD 3 can operate for up to 24 hours on a full charge. Both speakers are waterproof, dustproof, salt-water resistant, and incorporate modern connectivity features such as Party Connect and Bluetooth Fast Pair.
The ULTMIC1 microphone set aims to enhance the ULT POWER SOUND series by delivering clear vocal quality for karaoke sessions and other vocal applications. It connects via wireless dongles to provide freedom of movement.
Post Malone is involved in the "For The Music" campaign and expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. "I've always wanted the music to feel personal, and this partnership with Sony is a chance to create something that brings people closer to the music in a real way," he said.
In an effort to support sustainability, Sony states that no plastics are used in the packaging of the ULT FIELD 5, ULT FIELD 3, and ULTMIC1. This step is part of Sony's commitment to reducing environmental impact.
The ULT TOWER 9AC will be available in July 2025 with a suggested retail price of AUD $1,099. The ULT FIELD 5 and ULT FIELD 3 will be available from May 2025 priced at AUD $449 and AUD $329 respectively. The ULTMIC1 microphones will also launch in July 2025, priced at AUD $229.
