NetApp dangles dream VIP experiences to channel

NetApp and Distribution Central are teaming up to give three partners across Australia and New Zealand the chance to design their ultimate VIP experience.
The promotion, to celebrate the launch of NetApp’s All-flash FAS Bundles, will see three partners chasing their dream experiences
The winners will be the three partners who finish first in their relevant NetApp partner-tier category on overall points, via quoting and selling NetApp All-flash FAS between 13 July and 31 October 2015.
And yes, you did read that right: the promotion includes quoting, not just selling the NetApp All-flash products.
NetApp’s All-flash FAS is a new all-flash array family, optimised for flash and built on clustered Data OnTap.
Priced ‘very aggressively’ the offerings are a chance for resellers to grab a share of the growing All-flash market – currently a $2 billion market globally and growing at 56% year on year.
Pricing starts from under AU$40,000 and NetApp and Distribution Central say resellers can capitalise on the end of support for Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005 to drive new sales and expand revenue, while driving higher margin services with one price installation.
For customers, flash storage is faster and cheaper in terms of $/IOPS, with the shift to flash fundamentally changing customer business models. The company’s say the offerings can also be used to slash server and database licenses by 50%.
‘Comprehensive’ enterprise grade solutions for mixed workload consolidation are available, with flash to disk to cloud.
