Milestone systems have recognised resellers and distributors from around the Asia-Pacific region during their APAC partner awards ceremony.

The awards were handed out at the conclusion of the 2017 Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS), which wrapped up last night.

Among the award winners was Australian-based security company Video Security Products, who beat out Channel 10 for distributor of the year for the SPAC region.

As an open platform VMS provider, Milestone works quite closely with resellers, distributors and vendors in order to bring added value to the market and customers.

Milestone recognised organisations who have succeeded in providing unique and efficient customer solutions, something that they say is becoming more difficult, as customer demands increase and requirements become more complex.

In an exclusive interview with TechDay, Milestone CTO Bjorn Eilertsen said, “As the transparency and the globalisation of technology really kicks in, customers will know - in advance - much more than they have previously.

“This poses a challenge for integrators and it has real potential to split the market.

A range of awards were handed out on the night,  including camera partner of the year and solution partner of the year, as well as channel partner and distributor of the year throughout individual regions.
