Introducing Anant Maheshwari, the new head honcho at Microsoft India.

As he takes over the sales, marketing and services operations of the company, Maheshwari has shared his vision for transforming Microsoft India.

He hopes to do this by enabling partners, empowering entrepreneurs and making digital India a reality.

The new boss says that Microsoft's business model has always had partners at its centerfold.

“Microsoft has always been a partner led company, I see a different level of growth going ahead,” explains Maheshwari.

“The partners also need to learn a lot of these things that Microsoft is enabling for them, where the go to market channels can work with ISVs and take some of these offerings to market.

As India greets the digital revolution, Maheshwari says it is a unique opportunity.

“It's a great enabler for India, given our investments in the country, we are uniquely positioned to make digital India,” he explains.

“We can't do all of the solutioning, we need the entrepreneurship of partners – there's so much to do.

Maheshwari previously served as the managing director of Honeywell Automation India from 2010 to 2013, and also served as its head of HSG (Honeywell Security Group).

During his time at the company, he successfully tapped the Asia-Pacific region's high growth potential, adapting its global distribution business model to Asian markets.

He has completed his BE (Hons) Electrical - Electronics from BITS Pilani; MSc (Hons) Economics, BITS Pilani and is an MBA (PGDBM), Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
