Logitech unveils Flip Folio case with magnetically stowed keyboard

Logitech has introduced the Flip Folio, a keyboard case for iPad Pro and iPad Air that includes a magnetically stowable Bluetooth keyboard.

The Flip Folio is designed to provide both protection and productivity features for iPad users who are frequently on the move. The keyboard can be securely attached to the back of the case using magnets when not needed, allowing the device to be used as a basic tablet or with the keyboard set up for typing.

The device is compatible with several iPad models, including the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro (M4), as well as the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air (M2 and M3), and the 5th generation iPad Air. The Flip Folio casings are offered in different colours and include models constructed from at least 37% certified post-consumer recycled plastic for the Graphite and Midnight Black colours.

Logitech states that the case provides both front and back protection for iPads, which may be helpful for users who regularly move their devices between locations. When transporting the iPad, users can either carry it under their arm or slip it into a bag with the case attached.

The Flip Folio includes a multi-device pairing feature, which allows the Bluetooth keyboard to be connected to up to three devices, such as an iPad, a phone, or other Bluetooth-enabled products. Users can easily switch the keyboard connection between these devices using the Easy-switch functionality.

The solution allows for landscape and portrait orientation usage based on the user's preference, with an adjustable multi-angle kickstand contributing to its flexibility. This compact footprint aims to support those using iPads for varied activities, whether creating content, watching media, or handling communications.

Sustainability is addressed in several aspects of the design. Logitech reports that, in addition to the recycled plastics used in specified colour models, the aluminium materials are sourced through low-carbon manufacturing processes. Furthermore, all paper packaging for Flip Folio is sourced responsibly, using FSC-certified and controlled materials.
