Kinetic IT has been awarded a contract to provide end-to-end technology services for Main Roads Western Australia.

According to the contract terms, Kinetic IT will be responsible for delivering a broad range of technology and operational services to Main Roads. These services will include service management, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, IT and operational technology (OT) network services, service centre and end-user support, strategic business and planning services, as well as project management office support.

Kinetic IT will act as the lead partner in this engagement, working with ProAV to provide meeting room solutions and with Akkodis to deliver the application services component of the contract. The partnership will also result in the creation of approximately 45 new roles within Kinetic IT, explicitly dedicated to serving Main Roads.

Cassie Loder, Kinetic IT's Group Executive for Transport, Resources, Energy and Commercial, described the new partnership as a significant milestone for the company. "We are excited to work alongside Main Roads to deliver integrated, future-focused technology solutions. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting essential Infrastructure and driving innovation," Loder said.

Loder emphasised the scope and importance of Main Roads' mission in Western Australia, stating, "Our crew will be supporting the people that manage around 19,000 kilometres of road across the state and serving Main Roads' mission to ensure Western Australians reach their destinations safely and efficiently."

Kinetic IT, based in Western Australia, employs over 1,500 staff nationwide. The company has received industry recognition, including ServiceNow's Premier APAC Consulting & Implementation Partner of the Year award, and was named one of Australia's Best Managed Companies by Deloitte for the fourth consecutive year.

Speaking about the contract award, Loder added, "Being selected following a rigorous and competitive procurement process is a testament to our expertise, sovereign and onshore capabilities, and deep commitment to partnering with Australia's essential infrastructure providers. We are proud to support Main Roads' vital work across the State."

Main Roads Acting Chief Information Officer James Shiels remarked on the collaboration, saying, "Main Roads looks forward to working with Kinetic IT, a leading West Australian-owned business, to further enhance our digital capabilities to support our mission to provide world-class outcomes for the customer through a safe, reliable and sustainable road transport system."

The partnership is expected to underpin Main Roads' efforts in maintaining and managing approximately 19,000 kilometres of state road infrastructure. The addition of new technical and support roles is expected to enhance the operational capabilities needed to meet the ongoing needs of Main Roads' projects and daily functions.

Kinetic IT's contract encompasses both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) services, reflecting a growing emphasis on integrated digital and physical infrastructure in the transport sector. Collaboration with ProAV and Akkodis is set to complement these efforts by providing specialist expertise in meeting room integration and application services.

The new partnership marks an expanded role for Kinetic IT in delivering services that support state infrastructure and is aligned with Main Roads' stated goal of ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable transport networks for Western Australia's population.
