Ingram Micro Australia partners can now provide SimpliVity's hyperconverged infrastructure platform, OmniStack Integrated Solution with Cisco UCS, after the distributor inked a deal with SimpliVity.

The partnership allows Ingram Micro to quote, order and deliver Simplivity's OmniStack offering with Cisco UCS, in a move the companies say enables solution providers to deliver simplified, cost-efficient hyperconvergence for businesses upgrading their legacy IT systems.

Jon Fox, Ingram Micro Advanced Solutions division general manger, says hyperconverged systems are one of the fastest growing segments of IT.

“We can now quote, order and deliver SimpliVity OmniStack as one integrated solution with Cisco UCS to our partners,” Fox says.

SimpliVity's hyperconverged infrastructure consolidates all infrastructure and data services below the hypervisor into a single unified stack running on x86 building blocks.

Scott Morris, SimpliVity vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan, says by replacing the legacy infrastructure stack with SimpliVity integrated with Cisco UCS, enterprises can get the performance, reliability, availability, security and data protection they require, with the economics of the cloud.

“By consolidating these benefits into one hyperconverged device, we deliver a 3x reduction in the total cost of ownership to our customers,” Morris says.
