FYI, this story is more than a year old

Getac, the rugged computing solution provider, is looking for new partners in the Australia and New Zealand region.

In a statement, the company said it is looking to extend its reach and engagement with customers in ANZ across various industries including defence, emergency services, utilities, oil and gas, mining, transport and logistics, and automotive.

Since 1989, Getac has been providing rugged computing solutions for professionals in extreme environments.

Getac is one of the key subsidiaries of the MiTAC-Synnex Group, the third-largest computing group in Taiwan, with US$41.3 billion in revenue for 2020.

The company offers extensive rugged computing product lines including laptops and tablets. The Getac team designs the entire product line from the ground up and manufactures them in the company's own factories.

Through its global branch offices, and more than 1,600 distribution, reseller, and technical support partners worldwide, Getac is focused on helping customers reduce the total cost of ownership and increase efficiency.

Getac has local, on-the-ground support across ANZ, which includes pre- and post-sales, engineering, a local distributor, and service centres in both Sydney and Auckland.

It offers the ability for customisations to its hardware and software to accommodate specific customer needs such as a logo appearing when a machine starts up.

Getac also offers free accidental damage cover, known as Bumper to Bumper, providing an additional level of assurance for partners and customers.

There are three levels of partner: silver; gold; and platinum, which offers a premium package including deal registration, training, leads, demonstration units, market development funds, and premium support.

Through the Getac Select program, Getac offers partners pre-configured rugged devices, software, accessories, and professional services customised for individual industries.

These solutions have been tailored based on extensive customer feedback and Getac's industry experience, which takes out the legwork for partners in packaging their own solutions, the company states.

Getac's Partner Portal is designed for all current and potential resellers and is built to support partners' businesses from both a technical perspective and with tools to aid with business strategy.

Getac Technology Corporation business development manager Frank Baldrighi says, “Getac has identified Australia and New Zealand as having massive growth opportunity.

"For this reason, Getac is looking to attract new partners in the region that can help the business accelerate this growth and leverage the Getac brand for the success of their own businesses.

Baldrighi says, “Getac works closely with its partners to deliver a fully integrated eco-solution that includes excellent hardware, mounting solutions, and vehicle power solutions.

"Getac also works directly with the Intel and Microsoft and has very secure sources for key components and software, which provides additional assurance for partners looking to work with Getac.
