Fortinet strengthens Brennan partnership for Australian cybersecurity boost
Wed, 27th Mar 2024

Fortinet has announced the expansion of its long-standing partnership with Brennan, Australia's foremost business technology provider. The partnership will be solidified with the signing of the inaugural Fortinet managed security service provider (MSSP) enterprise agreement (EA) in Australia. This will further position Brennan to efficiently carry out migrations for secure software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) scenarios for local customers.

According to Dave Stevens, founder and managing director of Brennan, this partnership underscores Brennan's standing as a top systems integrator in the country. "Brennan's new MSSP EA with Fortinet marks a significant milestone for the organisation, reinforcing its status as Australia’s largest sovereign systems integrator". He added, "Brennan's common objective is to equip Australian businesses with leading network protection. This collaboration lets Brennan address the evolving demands of modern enterprises, particularly those with multi-site operations."

Dale Nachman, Australia's country manager for Fortinet, shared the company's enthusiasm for the extended partnership, remarking that the agreement represents "more than just a licensing agreement. It's a testament to the mutual growth of both organisations over the years, providing the most efficient and risk-free service to clients."

The extended partnership brings together volume licensing agreements to ensure the best customer outcomes as well as synchronising renewal dates for convenience. Customers can engage with Brennan for three to five-year service deals. Alternatively, Brennan can build additional services like secure SD-WAN for businesses that own their own Fortinet assets and handle their own carriage.

Stevens reiterated the value of the partnership to customers, highlighting that "Customers can be flexible with the technology they use; however, they trust their MSP to have done the research, pick the best of breed vendor to work with, deliver productised outcomes, and back the relationship to manage at scale. That's the experience Brennan has with Fortinet."

Nachman affirms, "This agreement introduces unprecedented agility and speed in deploying Fortinet's solutions to meet the dynamic needs of Brennan's customers. The partnership offers Brennan enhanced adaptability to address the ever-changing network and security requirements of their customers through cost-effective, market leading network and cloud solutions underpinned by best of breed security."

Overall, the collaboration marks a significant shift in Australia's cybersecurity landscape. It simplifies the process of licence renewal and technology access for Brennan while underscoring their commitment to delivering flexible, cost-effective, and secure SD-WAN solutions. This development is a step forward in safeguarding the digital-first economy in the country, with the fortified support of both Brennan and Fortinet.
