Dicker Data has entered a new distribution agreement with intelligent power management company Eaton.

As part of the agreement, Dicker Data will gain access to distribute the entire range of Eaton’s Power Quality products in the Australian market.

“I’m pleased to welcome Eaton to Dicker Data. Their range of intelligent power solutions aligns well with our existing strength in the SMB and mid-market, particularly as more technology moves to the edge,” says Vlad Mitnovetski, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Dicker Data Limited

“We see a significant growth opportunity for Eaton with our access and surveillance (DAS) partners.”

Dicker Data says Eaton selected them as a distributor due to their reach, expertise and strong reputation for supporting enterprise, mid-market and SMB partners as they look to accelerate their growth in the Australian market and reach new verticals.

Eaton operates successfully in government, education, mining, and data centre markets. The company offers an extensive range of product and software solutions that focus on delivering improved energy efficiency and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO). This can also help organisations to meet their sustainability objectives.

Another key strategic reason mentioned by Eatons for their engagement with Dicker Data was the creation of the company’s new Access and Surveillance (DAS) business unit. With a growing number of DAS partners and an expanding ecosystem of vendors, the DAS business represents a unique channel opportunity for Eaton, alongside Dicker Data’s extensive IT partner base.

John Atherton, General Manager at Eaton Electrical, Power Quality A/NZ, says the partnership will help bolster the company’s presence in the market and particularly in the security sector.

“The opportunity to partner with Dicker Data’s Access and Surveillance (DAS) business provides Eaton a new growth opportunity within the security sector,” he says.

“The physical security sector is embracing new technologies to adapt to ever changing conditions, and as physical security has become a mission critical application for business, the need for superior backup power and management is more important than ever.”

Atherton says the company looks forward to a partnership that will continue to grow and create opportunities.

“Dicker Data have grown to become one of the leading IT distribution companies within the region and Eaton look forward to partnering to continue our IT channels growth, supporting our partner network with better access to Eaton products and services.”

Dicker Data says its team of product and technical experts are ready to assist partners to scope and design intelligent power management solutions, built on Eaton’s leading technology, from 21 November 2022

The company also says it is ready to work with new and existing Eaton partners to scale their businesses.
