Data#3 golf day creates Starlight wishes for children

FYI, this story is more than a year old

A day of golf has seen Data#3 raise a record $25,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation.

More than 140 customers and 11 global vendor partners took part in the charity golf day at Brisbane's Indooroopilly Golf Course, in aid of the tech company's national charity partner.

On-course donations, raffle ticket sales and auction proceeds saw the record $25,000 raised for Starlight's wish granting program.

The program grants wishes for seriously ill children and their whole family, with wishes ranging from travel wishes to hero wishes, experience wishes and gift wishes.

Laurence Baynham, Data#3 chief executive, says the company partnered with Starlight at the beginning of this financial year as part of a new direction for its corporate social responsibility and community program.

He thanked customers, vendors and staff for helping the company reach – and exceed – its fundraising goal for the day.

“Once again, we have proved that by working together we can make a real contribution to our community,” Baynham says.

Louise Baxter, Starlight chief executive, says Starlight is delighted to partner with Data#3 and welcomed the company's much needed support.
