Virsae completes IRAP & ISM Essential Eight assessments

Tue, 18th Feb 2025

Virsae has successfully completed the Australian Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) and the Australian ISM Essential Eight assessments, enhancing the cybersecurity standards of its Virsae Service Management XCaaS analytics platform suite.

The IRAP and Essential Eight compliance standards, set by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), aim to mitigate cybersecurity incidents affecting ICT systems for the Australian government. The evaluation was conducted by an endorsed IRAP Assessor, Cybersult, and examined Virsae's security measures for protecting communication systems and data, as well as its cybersecurity posture and risk management.

Gareth Beaumont, Chief Information Security Officer at Virsae, commented on the achievement, stating, "The IRAP and Essential Eight assessments have supported Virsae's cybersecurity maturity by fine tuning our existing program of works. We view this achievement as both enhancing our security and validating our robust cybersecurity practices."

Virsae's commitment to meeting cybersecurity standards is further endorsed by its Chief Executive Officer, Tony Jayne, who said, "Virsae continues to invest in meeting regionalized cyber-related regulatory requirements, and we're pleased to add the rigour of IRAP compliance to our existing TX-Ramp certification."

This recent compliance achievement marks another step in Virsae's dedication to ensuring the security, availability, and confidentiality of its services, reflecting its continuous efforts to maintain a high level of cybersecurity maturity across its operations globally.
