Veritec appoints Aus general manger to boost company growth
Veritec has appointed Chris Greatrex as general manager for New South Wales, Australia, in order to help grow the company's footprint and customer base in the region, as well as build out the company's Microsoft-based capabilities.
Veritec, currently a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking to grow its presence throughout Australia and as such is investing more into broadening its reach in NSW.
The role, which has been newly created, will see Greatrex heading up and growing the NSW business applications and cloud modernisation operations, according to Veritec.
Australian-owed Veritec is part of FTS Group and currently has more than 150 staff. It is headquartered in Canberra. In recent years, the business has grown and has now established offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
According to Veritec, Greatrex's appointment will enable the business to continue to build on this growth with a clear leader on the ground for the Austrlian operations.
Greatrex joins Veritec from a recent consulting engagement with Datacom. Prior to this he was CEO of Artis Group Australia from 2011 to 2019.
Greatrex has also worked in the US where he held several senior roles in the IT industry, building capability across a range of software and services solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Veritec CEO Keiran Mott says, "We're excited to welcome Chris and his wealth of knowledge to the Veritec family. He has proven experience in helping customers to build and deploy cloud-based business applications solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Azure.

FTS Group is a federated group of technology services businesses that have distinct areas of expertise. As well as Veritec, FTS Group also includes businesses Anatas, FTS Data - AI, Kobold, SME Gateway and Cubic Consulting.
Greatrex says he is looking forward to building upon Veritec's Microsoft based capabilities.

As a Microsoft Preferred Partner, Veritec's has been responsibile for the delivery of Microsoft solutions to Government at all levels and has partnered with customers on digital transformation projects.
Last year, the company was awarded the right to operate Microsoft's Modernisation Factory which provides Veritec and Microsoft customers with a unique service to update and future-proof legacy IT workloads.
