FYI, this story is more than a year old

Brisbane-headquartered Venn IT Solutions has kicked off the new year announcing the launch of a new branch in Melbourne, the appointment of Ashley Diffey as the company's first general manager for Victoria and the signing of several new contracts.

At the same time, the Queensland founded company has moved its headquarters to larger multi-storey premises in Bowen Hills in Brisbane where it has created a collaborative workspace for employees, partners and customers.

The new location will enable the company to grow and expand its employee base in the years ahead as new business is signed among both private and public sectors in Queensland.

Heading up the new Melbourne branch is Ashley Diffey who joins Venn IT Solutions with more than 15 years' experience in the IT industry.

He will be responsible for supporting new customer acquisition, managing end user deployments and fuelling partner relationships across Victoria.   Diffey previously worked at F5 Networks as channel manager where he was responsible for partner enablement and sales support for Australia.

Prior, he held several positions at Commvault over a period of more than for years, including as director of channel sales ANZ and Southern Region channel sales manager.

He has also worked in several sales and account management positions for organisations, including Weston Group, Broad reach Services, Telstra and Premier Global Services.

Venn IT Solutions MD Geoff Hughes says, “Ashley joins Venn IT Solutions at an exciting time in our company's growth and one where we face a robust market opportunity driven by organisations focused on supercharging innovation, customer experiences and new revenue channels.

“Ashley's skills and experience will be a great advantage to our customer base as we sign new business and continue to build out our overall services and solutions offering in the market.

In the past few months, Venn IT Solutions has signed a number of managed backup service agreements for two multinational global mining businesses and a national food distribution business.

Commvault director of channels ANZ Kaaren Lewis says, “Venn IT's significant momentum in Australia is a testament to its team's motivation and strength in understanding and meeting the needs of customers operating in today's digital economy.

“The channel has been tasked with adding value to customers throughout their digital journeys and Venn IT consistently providing value through unique market insights and technology partnership with Commvault.

“We are thrilled to see one of our long-standing partners expand its footprint in Australia, and look forward to their continued success.
