Tech Data extends reach as Microsoft Cloud Solution provider in Vietnam

16 Jun 17

Tech Data’s Technology Solutions business - formerly a division of Avnet - has become a Microsoft Solution provider in Vietnam.

The distributor says this builds upon the successful relationship between Microsoft and Technology Solutions in Australia and means Technology Solutions can now deliver Microsoft’s entire Cloud portfolio across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, inclusive of Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Enterprise Mobility Suite, Power BI, Windows and other value added services to their valued channel partners across Vietnam.

According to Tech Data, cloud computing holds great potential for enterprises that are struggling for IT resources as Microsoft Cloud Solutions allow partners to provide their customers access to enterprise-level IT at affordable price points.

Tech Data says this partnership will help Technology Solutions customers adopt a robust cloud architecture and service model, leapfrogging the traditional investment in enterprise IT.

“Adding Microsoft’s entire cloud services portfolio to our offering means that Technology Solutions can now empower partners through sales and marketing programs specialised in CSP,” says Tran Thi Bao Tran, country general manager, Technology Solutions, Vietnam at Tech Data.

“Our focus on next-generation technologies like cloud enables partners to capitalise on market shifts and embrace new consumption models to drive growth for their businesses.”

Microsoft Vietnam country director for small, midmarket solutions and partners (SMS&P), Pham Tran Anh says they are very pleased with the partnership.

“This collaboration will enable partners to take advantage of a variety of globally-driven solutions aligned with individual digital transformation strategies,” says Pham Tran Anh.

“As a 2T Cloud Solution Partner (CSP), Technology Solutions will work closely with Microsoft to build an ecosystem of diversified service partners and provide knowledge transfer to help these partners deploy cloud platforms and services quickly and cost-effectively in order to seize business opportunities.”

According to Tech Data, Technology Solutions is currently expanding its portfolio of services to include customised cloud solutions for businesses across industry verticals, including retail, logistics, manufacturing, banking and financial services, public sector and education, and more.
