Synnex continues portfolio expansion with Corsair win

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Synnex has signed a deal which sees it become the second distributor for component maker Corsair.

Corsair's range includes gaming peripherals, memory upgrades, power supply units, SSDs, USB flash drives, PC speakers and system monitoring and control devices, predominantly purchased by gaming enthusiasts.

The vendor previously had an exclusive Australian distribution deal with Altech, its long-standing distributor.

Yu-Chen Liao, Synnex Australia product director, says Corsair offers a strong complement to Synnex, with products matching the demand from the distributor's 7000+ reseller partners.

“Because of Corsair's innovative approach towards the PC gaming market, it can deliver significant quality and reliable components to customers through its wide range of memory, cases, power supply, coolers and gaming peripherals,” Liao says.

The deal follows a number of new agency wins for Synnex, which recently won distribution for Belkin, Wemo and Linksys portfolios.

In March the distributor inked an expanded deal covering Apple's entire computing range, from iMacs to Macbooks, with a deal with Huawei to distribute ‘large volumes of IT products' for the vendor also announced in March.
