SUSE taps Aptira as first solution partner for APJ region
SUSE has announced the appointment of Australian cloud, managed services and infrastructure consultancy, Aptira, as the company’s first Solution Partner for the Australian Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.
SUSE’s solution partner program is the company’s highest partner tier and recognises partners who have the deep technical expertise and commitment to building only the best solutions that provide maximum efficiency and high availability to demanding enterprise business clients.
Aptira is one of only a handful of storage solution partners for SUSE globally.
According to Mark Salter, SUSE Channels VP, Aptira embodies what SUSE is looking for in a solution partner.
“Aptira has superior technical know-how and we are impressed with its commitment to providing customers with the best solution possible with no vendor lock-in, which is a philosophy that SUSE as the open, open source company, also subscribes to,” Salter says.
“The APJ region presents many opportunities for SUSE in open source adoption and working with Aptira will enable us to make greater inroads to growing the business in the various countries in this region.
“We have many synergies with Aptira and this includes both SUSE and Aptira belonging to the board for the OpenStack Foundation and being active members,” adds Salter.
The 2016 Future of Open source Survey found that open source adoption is on the rise with two-thirds of enterprises now using open source software.
Furthermore, 59% of companies are using open source to gain a competitive edge.
