Live Awareness AI solutions vendor SenSen Networks has announced a significant contract win with Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal. The contract, valued initially at A$1.7 million (CAD 1.6 million), marks a notable achievement for the Australian-based firm as it extends its reach into the North American market.
The contract, officially tendered as AO-AMD-24-004, involves the supply of vehicle-mounted mobile enforcement systems and accompanying software to the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal, a para-municipal organisation closely affiliated with the City of Montreal. Over the span of five years, the total value of this contract could reach up to A$17.7 million (CAD 16.1 million), making it one of SenSen's most substantial contracts to date.
This partnership will see SenSen providing and commissioning several mobile parking enforcement systems designed to enhance the monitoring of public spaces across Montreal. The company has already commenced work on the project, having met all necessary contract conditions. The initial contract term is set for three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension, allowing for a longer-term collaboration.
Dr Subhash Challa, CEO of SenSen, expressed his enthusiasm for the contract, noting the significance of the win for both the company and the industry at large. "I am delighted that the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal has recognised SenSen's global leadership in this space by awarding this contract after having the opportunity to assess all offerings available in the market," Dr Challa said. "This is one of the largest mobile enforcement systems roll out in the world."
SenSen's systems are expected to play a crucial role in the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal's ongoing efforts to manage the city's curbside and off-street parking spaces. These efforts are part of the agency's broader mission to promote sustainable mobility and improve the overall quality of life in Montreal. By leveraging SenSen's technology, the agency aims to ensure that public spaces are shared equitably and that the city remains accessible to all its residents and visitors.
The initial order under this contract is just the beginning of what could be a long and fruitful partnership between SenSen and the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal. Over the course of the contract, additional orders for systems, software, and maintenance are anticipated, further solidifying SenSen's presence in the region.
The Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal has been at the forefront of efforts to transform the city's approach to mobility, with a focus on sustainability and inclusivity. The organisation manages a wide range of public spaces across Montreal, ensuring that these areas are used efficiently and effectively to support the city's economic vitality. By integrating SenSen's advanced AI-driven enforcement systems, the agency hopes to set a new standard for urban mobility management.
This contract is also a significant step forward for SenSen as it continues to expand its global footprint. With a growing portfolio of international clients, the company is well-positioned to become a leader in the AI-powered enforcement solutions market.
