Tue, 3rd Nov 2015
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Schneider Electric has taken out a hat-trick of awards at Frost - Sullivan's Asia Pacific Best Practice Awards, capping that off with a ‘leader' ranking in Verdantix' 2015 Green Quadrant Building Energy Management Software report.

The energy management and automation company was awarded the 2015 Southeast Asia UPS Vendor of the Year and UPS Service Provider of the Year for the fourth consecutive year at the Frost - Sullivan Best Practice Awards.

The company was also presented with the prestigious ‘Asia Pacific Data Center Integrated Power Infrastructure Company of the Year' award for 2015 for the second year in a row.

Adwaith Visveswaran, Frost - Sullivan Asia Pacific senior research analyst, energy and environment practice, says Schneider Electric has ‘indisputably' retained its market leadership position in the region equipped with a strong element of differentiation in both technology and other ancillary services.

“Despite an unexpected slump in the UPS market last year, the company's position remained strong as it continued to deliver superior products of high calibre and performance through a well-defined marketing strategy and customer engagement program,” Visveswaran says.

On the UPS service provider front, Visveswaran says by extensively leveraging its strong presence in the UPS market, Schneider Electric ‘truly stands out in providing best-in-class and highly customisable service support solutions to its customers, thereby maintaining its legacy as a leading service provider in the Southeast Asia UPS services market'.

He says the company has effectively built a one-stop service support infrastructure across the power solution value chain.

Viveswaran says Schneider Electric has also carved a niche for itself in the data center integrated power infrastructure market.

“The company is the prime choice for enterprise and colocation customers not only in the Asia Pacific region but also globally,” he says.

The wins come as Schneider Electric also celebrates being named a leader in analyst firm Verdantix' 2015 Green Quadrant Building Energy Management Software report for the second year in a row.

The strong showing came for the vendor's StruxureWare Resource Advisor energy management and sustainability platform.
