The company's Pacific Zone expansion is driven by increasing demand for cloud capacity, artificial intelligence (AI), and data centre development.

Schneider Electric, known for its work in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, is restructuring its leadership within the Pacific Zone to tap into the burgeoning market for cloud and digital infrastructure. According to the company, these appointments aim to advance Schneider Electric's stronghold in these expanding sectors.

Colette Munro, Pacific Zone President at Schneider Electric, commented on the growth prospects of the region. "With the Pacific region boasting the highest cloud capacity per capita globally, we are ready to lead the next wave of innovation in data centre design and AI development in Australia and New Zealand," Munro stated. "Joe and Farokh have the vision and experience to take on this growing demand while continuing to deliver sustainable, intelligent, and resilient solutions for our customers."

In his new capacity, Joe Craparotta is expected to spearhead Schneider Electric's Cloud and Service Providers market segment. Craparotta brings 30 years of leadership experience in the technology industry, including 16 years at Schneider Electric. His main responsibilities will include leading the Pacific Cloud and Service Provider strategy and fostering key business relationships. "I'm excited to step into this role at such a transformative moment for the Pacific region. The opportunities in the cloud and AI sectors are vast and the moment is now to invest faster in our sector and cement the digital sovereignty and digital future of our region. I look forward to leading and collaborating with our talented teams and partners as we lead the way in shaping the future of data centres across the region," Craparotta remarked.

Farokh Ghadially, who has been associated with Schneider Electric for over 18 years, will assume the role of Vice President for Secure Power in the Pacific. In his new role, he will focus on driving growth in the secure power portfolio across various market segments. This will involve expanding services, software, and AI-driven solutions to yield beneficial outcomes for customers' business operations. "Whether it's in the data centres that power our digital world, the advancements in AI that reshape how we think, or the infrastructure that connects us all, I am committed to advancing our shared goals with integrity and purpose. By joining forces and encouraging collaborative partnerships in our ecosystem, we will build a future that is more connected, sustainable, intelligent, and resilient. I'm excited for the road ahead and the impact we will make together," Ghadially stated.

The dual appointments signify Schneider Electric's intention to meet rising demand for innovative and sustainable solutions within the Pacific Zone. According to the company, these changes form part of a broader growth plan designed to ensure ongoing successful delivery on its commitments while harnessing new opportunities.
