Revenite has appointed Jonathon Wetton as Chief Technology Officer to enhance its enterprise data innovation efforts.

Jonathon Wetton, a former Chief Data & Analytics Officer and practice lead at notable consultancy firms such as Capgemini Australia and PwC Middle East, as well as analytics vendors SAS, SAP, and Real World Data, will now take on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Revenite. His appointment aims to support the company's ongoing commitment to data engineering excellence, with particular focus on advisory and technical delivery engagements. He will also offer guidance to Revenite's clients, helping them enhance AI capabilities and maximise returns from data and analytics operations.

Jonathon Wetton elaborated on the challenges faced by Chief Data Officers in Australia, stating, "Whether you're a Chief Data Officer helping your leadership find pockets of cost savings, or you're driving a growth strategy, you need to make your data platforms and products work harder for you. I think Australia produces fantastic multi-skilled data practitioners, which means you can get a lot done with relatively small teams." He further noted that, "We're looking at double-digit growth rates next year for Australian organisations' investments in their data and AI capabilities, and data privacy, data automation and customer innovation will be three key areas to deliver payback on that investment."

Revenite's Managing Director, Bruce Minahan, expressed his enthusiasm about Jonathon Wetton joining the team as part of the company's growth agenda. "The enterprise clients we work with across financial services, public sector and consumer products are all looking to uplift the speed and quality of their data, and we feel we can best support their tech platform decisions, their cloud capacity planning, and their analytics teams' use cases," he said. He further highlighted the blend of deep engineering capability and practical advice that Australian executives value, saying, "We see a lot more practical iteration in our clients now, both in delivering today's work more efficiently and in experimenting on tomorrow's new capabilities. I believe the traditional models for IT advisory are ripe for a re-think, with bite-sized advice and engineering being delivered in learning-by-doing cycles. Jonathon will help our clients get the balance right."

Jonathon Wetton also shared insights from his international experience, having worked in regions including the US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and most recently the Middle East. He observed, "Life in Dubai is fast and impatient and geared towards ultra convenience. Your data footprint from living life through apps means that enterprises win when they best leverage data to offer speed of service and flexibility of choice. The sovereign wealth funds of the Middle East are very ambitious about their investments in data and AI - they're investing in AI-driven innovation with a long-term view to how data and AI will transform lives and industries - and there's a real sense within the tech sector that you're bringing the future to life."

He continued by reflecting on similar opportunities for innovation within Australia, stating, "We have that opportunity in Australia too: Australian public and private sector organisations have done the hard yards over the past decade; we've got great technical talent coming through our universities and if we maintain our collective ambition to compete smart then we will prosper."

Revenite offers a range of end-to-end services that include modern data platforms, data science and AI, operational analytics, data migration and governance, and managed services. These services are designed to cater to the evolving needs of enterprises in terms of data architecture, analytics, and operational efficiency.
