PMT Security boosts executive team with trio of strategic hires

PMT Security continues to bolster its capabilities and resources through the strategic addition of three executive hires to its management team. These key appointments underscore the company's commitment to driving growth, following its recent office expansion in Adelaide, and robust development of its Brisbane operations.

Rob Urpis, recognised in the industry for his rich experience in growing security and technology companies worldwide, joins PMT Security as the new Technical Security Manager. Urpis, who has previously held senior roles at Chubb and Teracom, and is a qualified electrical engineer, adds considerable expertise to the leadership team.

Joanna Simpson assumes the role of head of Solution Business Development. With a 25-year career in technical leadership roles across security, fire, and facility management sectors, Simpson brings her depth of knowledge to PMT. She has previously served as CTO at Ultimate Security Australia and General Manager and Head of Technology at Certis, marking her a significant asset in the firm's expansion into new markets.

Andrew Kouimanis has been appointed as the Partnerships and Innovation Manager at PMT Security. Kouimanis, who spent two decades transforming the retail sector's approach to crime and safety, chiefly at Coles, holds a distinguished record in risk reduction. He dedicated five years to NZ-based retail crime specialists Auror and has been honoured in the Australian Retail Risk Hall of Fame.

The new hires signal a renewed phase of growth for PMT Security, coinciding with its recent establishment of a Communications Division, and the extension of its operations in South Australia, Queensland, and the ACT.

Darren Taylor, Managing Director of PMT Security, shared his thoughts on the appointments: "While we have significant experience and skills right across Australia and expertise throughout all vertical markets, these new hires bring a new level of corporate experience to the organisation."
