NZ's IntegrationWorks heads to UK as global expansion continues
Wed, 3rd Aug 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kiwi enterprise integration consultancy IntegrationWorks has expanded its reach, launching a United Kingdom operation.

The Wellington- headquartered company, which recently won IBM's global 2016 Beacon Award for Outstanding Middleware Solutions, will have a UK technical team backed by support from New Zealand to create a ‘chase the sun' support offering.

The company has a 55-strong integration team across New Zealand and Australia. It officially opened its Melbourne office earlier this year.

IntegrationWorks says a key focus will be the banking and financial services sector, providing ‘seamless connectivity between on-premises, hybrid and cloud systems'.

Bret Duffield, who will head up the UK operations as IntegrationWorks United Kingdom managing director, says enterprises in the United Kingdom have a ‘huge' appetite for digital transformation, similar to that of the Asia Pacific region.

“[They] are realising that the way to optimise their legacy systems, move to the cloud and build new digital services is through innovative integration platforms,” Duffield says.

“However, enterprises globally lack the internal expertise and ability to build these integration platforms on large scale, while making sure they are flexible and robust.

“Critically too, being able to support and maintain those systems comes at a cost, from both a financial and resource perspective.

IntegrationWorks says it will provide the same offerings in the UK as it currently does in New Zealand and Australia, with the ‘primary key differentiator' being a managed service model providing a comprehensive and hands on approach to managing the entire integration offering.

That offering includes integration strategy and road-mapping, designing integration layers through architecture and custom building integration platforms and deploying a 24/7 support and monitoring system.

The company will also offer project based consultancy services, plus vendor procurement and aims to launch a maturity assessment product later this year.

Duffield says the launch will benefit the company's customers worldwide, with support being provided from either the UK or New Zealand.
