Nutanix names winners in ANZ Partner Awards
BEarena has taken top Australian honours in Nutanix's Australia and New Zealand Partner Awards, being named the Australian Partner of the Year.
The web-scale converged infrastructure company also named Advantage Technology Solutions as Most Valuable Player, while Qirx was named Highest Growth Partner.
ViFX won New Zealand Partner of the Year.
Darren Ashley, BEarena managing director, says BEarena made a bet on Nutanix very early.
"In some ways, we have modeled BEarena on the lessons we have learned with Nutanix and I am immensely proud at how our relationship has continued to grow," Ashley says.
"It continues to pay dividends both with this latest Partner of the Year Award, but also the customers we add to the BEarena family.
Frank Angotti, Advantage Technology Solutions managing director, says Nutanix is bringing a fresh approach to the industry.
"Infrastructure technology hasn't seen a dramatic change like this in 10 years," he says, adding that the reward reflects the 'true sense of partnership and the mutual respect' between the companies.
Meanwhile Nick Winch, Qirx general manager, says Qrix's win for highest growth 'was a direct result of our extensive commitment to building our end user computing practice'.
He says Nutanix provided the 'perfect' platform to the solution stack.
The awards were presented at the inaugural Partner Now Conference, held in Sydney, where partners also hear about Nutanix's vision.
The company detailed the state of the industry, which it says is seeing a 'significant' shift away from traditional SAN and blade server hardware to hyper-converged technology.
Nutanix passed US$300 million bookings run rate in its 2015 Q2, which ended January 31, and has more than 100 customers across ANZ after just two years in the region.
