Nutanix named as champion vendor of APAC for second year
Fri, 20th Jan 2023
FYI, this story is more than a year old

For the second year in a row, Nutanix, the cloud computing company, has been named a Champion Vendor by IT market analyst firm Canalys.

Canalys’ 2022 Channel Leadership Matrix for APAC is based on partner feedback to the Canalys Vendor Benchmark, combined with a detailed assessment of their recent channel activities and future prospects by Canalys analysts.

In categorising whether a vendor is deserving of Champion status, Canalys says that champion vendors will have shown the highest levels of success in channel management over the previous 12 months compared with their industry peers.

Nutanix’s success over the last 12 months comes while also achieving the difficult task of improving its performance compared to the prior year.

In Canalys’ 2022 Channel Leadership Matrix for APAC, five vendors achieved Champion Vendor status. However, only two received it for the second year in a row, Trend Micro and Nutanix.

This news comes after Nutanix also secured Champion status in Canalys’ 2022 EMEA Matrix.

“I believe this recognition comes from staying true to Nutanix’s core tenets regarding our relationship with partners in our ecosystem,” says David Gwyn, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Channels and Customer Success.

There are three core tenets that Nutanix follows. Firstly, the success of Nutanix’s channel partners is its success.

Secondly, Nutanix must continually optimise and adapt its Elevate Partner Program to help partners build skills and sell successfully and profitably throughout the customer lifecycle.

Finally, Nutanix will offer solutions focused on simplicity, freedom and flexibility of choice to run customers’ applications with no lock-in, with a core focus of delighting its joint customers with the best customer service in the industry.

“Looking further into 2023, we at Nutanix will continue to capitalise on new innovations and opportunities together,” adds Gwyn.

“Nutanix is committed to aligning our go-to-market strategy and investments so that partners can seize the advantage and lead the way in accelerating our joint successes while adapting to ongoing market dynamics.”

“We’re laser-focused on building an increasingly profitable subscription and renewal flywheel for our partners to find success throughout the entire customer lifecycle.”

According to Gwyn, Nutanix will continue to simplify its portfolio and streamline partner tools, making them more customer and channel-friendly.

“Instead of fifty different products and price points, we’ve consolidated down to essentially four solutions: Building hybrid multicloud environments, managing a cloud, unified storage, and database as a service,” continues Gwyn.

“I look forward to ramping up the feedback loop even more this year and listening to our valued partners to ensure we continue to be a trusted and award-winning vendor.”
