Wed, 21st Oct 2015
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Nexon Asia Pacific says using Palo Alto Networks' enterprise security platform has allowed it to quickly onboard 25 customers to a new cloud service.

The Sydney-based managed security service provider has launched a new managed cloud service, Agile Business Cloud (ABC), secured by Palo Alto's next-generation security platform.

Barry Assaf, Nexon Asia Pacific director, says the the company has securely moved 25 customers to the cloud in recent months ‘without any issues', with Palo Alto Networks providing visibility and application identification capabilities, high throughput, ease of use and the ability to rapidly onboard customers.

Customers who have already been onboarded include accounting firm Moore Stephens Sydney and 24/7 mission-critical call centre provider Customers 1to1.

“Basing out ABC cloud offering on Palo Alto Networks has improved and expanded out service to customers, driven new revenues and set us up for even more growth,” Assaf says.

“In the near future, we plan to roll out more services for customers based on the Palo A lot Networks Enterprise Security Platform.

Nexon is using Palo Alto's firewalls, threat prevention, IPS, URL filtering, GlobalProtect subscriptions and Panorama centralised management, enabling Nexon to see and manage all of its distributed security devices and policies – and those of its customers – from a single location and interface.

The new deal comes hard on the heels of the announcement last week that Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has signed Nexon as an enterprise cloud solutions and services partner, offering the vendor's OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud communications technologies in Australia.
